Adventure cycling and event photographer, based in sunny North Wales.
Nothing makes my heart sing more than packing up my bike and heading off into the unknown with my camera at my side. I love to capture everything from the grand majestic landscapes to the teeny tiny creatures we so often miss in everyday life, and everything in between that makes an adventure on two wheels so colourful.
That’s how it all began: the obsession with visual storytelling. I was gifted a small point and shoot almost ten years ago now, and I took it on my first bikepacking trip, up to bonnie Scotland. The rest is history. In the years following, that camera lived in my pocket, and if for some it was left behind, it would feel as though I was missing a limb.
In recent years, my trusty point and shoot has been replaced with my now beloved DSLR, which is what you will see swinging off my back as I happily ride around on my bike; documenting cycling events, my own solo bikepacking trips or adventures with friends. It’s with me always.
And aren’t photographs wonderful? How they teleport you straight back to a particular moment in time, evoking feelings of nostalgia and bringing those warm, happy memories bubbling to the surface. I’m truly grateful for them (as I wouldn’t remember half the goings on in my life without them).
I hope it’s clear from my work just how much photography makes me fizz with excitement, especially when I get to combine it with my other great love: adventuring by bike. The two go perfectly hand in hand, and it’s then, when I’m out riding my trusty steed through wild landscapes, camera in tow, that I’m at my happiest.
